Mary Preston became a devoted friend and volunteer extraordinaire who brought her large clan of family, friends, neighbors and church members into the Norton campaigns.

Mary was a champion collector of signatures, who organized scores of others to do the same, organized fundraisers for Eleanor and never stopped working and organizing for the Congresswoman until the day she died in November 2004.
