Volunteer to Circulate Petitions

THANK YOU! Thanks for agreeing to circulate petitions to help get Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton on the ballot in July. We are confident that we will well exceed the required 2000 signatures for qualification, but we need your help to do it! Below are some important instructions for your role in the process. PETITION CIRCULATION INSTRUCTION SHEET

Please read and review all materials presented to you before circulating any petitions, particularly instructions printed on the back of the petitions. By checking our petitions, you agree to strictly follow ALL rules set forth in the circulation guidelines as presented by the D.C. Board of Elections and Ethics.

Please read all instructions carefully. Below are answers to most frequently asked questions about the process:

  1. Petition circulators MUST be residents of District of Columbia and registered to vote in the District of Columbia.

  2. 2. Circulators MUST witness each signature on the petition. DO NOT leave the petitions on a table, or give them to anyone else to circulate.

  3. 3. Each petition can be witnessed / circulated by only ONE person, or the entire petition will be disqualified.

  4. 4. All persons signing petition MUST be registered to vote in the District of Columbia at the time they sign the petition, and MUST be registered with the Democrat Party.

  5. 5. ALL information requested in the petition MUST be provided (name, address, signature and date).

  6. 6. As the circulator, you MUST sign and date the back of each petition in the indicated space before submitting it to Citizens for Eleanor Holmes Norton.

  7. 7. PETITION MUST BE RETURNED TO CITIZENS FOR ELEANOR HOLMES NORTON NO LATER THAN FRIDAY JULY ???  2010
