Norton Ranked 19th "Most Influential" and 16th in "Legislative Power"

The 110th Congress was one of Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton's most productive legislative sessions; with 37% of the 55 bills she introduced becoming law. She also saw 13 of her bills pass or have a hearing in the House. This rate for signing into law, as well as of House passage of a member's bills, is very rare and helps explain why Norton is ranked 19th "most influential" and 16th in "legislative power" among the 440 members of the House by an outside organization, Power Rankings . Among the bills that passed the House was the D.C. Voting Rights Act, which fell three votes short of the 60 required in the Senate.
