Don’t Wear Campaign Tee-Shirts
There’s been a lot of talk about schemes to turn voters away from the polls if they show up wearing tee-shirts, buttons, or hats supporting a particular candidate. Well folks, don’t step into the trap. As a Constitutional lawyer, I know that it is absolutely bogus for some jurisdictions to say you can’t wear campaign gear to the polls, but guess what? By the time you argue about your rights with poll workers, the day will be gone and you will have missed this very important vote. Be smart! If you must wear something supporting your favorite candidate, wear a button or hat that you can easily remove. You can’t go back and cast it the next day. Go smart to the polls, vote smart in the polls.
